In introducing Green September this year, the Bishop of Iceland made specific reference to the Multi-Faith Global Conference. During Green September, the church places special emphasis on nature conservation, in collaboration with environmental protection organizations in Iceland including the Icelandic Forestry and The Soil Conservation Service of Iceland. Special emphasis is placed on lifestyles that are consistent with the future goals of the United Nations’ Global Climate and Environment Goals.
