Faith For Nature: Multi-Faith Action

20.08.06  Prime minister of iceland references faith for nature

At a celebration at historic Skálholt Church, Katrín Jakobsdóttir, the Prime Minister of Iceland, made a highly positive reference to the conference Faith for Nature: Multi-faith Action, in her keynote address. She stated:

“An exciting project on international collaboration of denominations against the climate crisis – a work based on respect for the Creation which has been heavily damaged due to uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources. This will have devastating consequences for the earth’s ecosystems and humanity if left unchecked. We must follow new paths, where we focus on the balance of the environment, societies and the economy, and we must build a sustainable society.“
